Ok, so I've given up trying to understand my wife. A couple of weeks ago I asked her (you'll notice I asked prior to...) if I could buy another Turkish Mauser for sale by one of our members on the forum. Her answer was a running list of all the rifles I currently have on layaway at the local dealers around town. (in other terms...no) Well, she has been working for more than 40 days with only one day off (she's the boss and only full time employee for now) and finally got this past Saturday off. It was payday for both of us and after paying bills we had a decent amount of surplus funds left. She wanted to pick up some furniture items in Billings so we drove down and I told her I was going to stop at a pawn shop that has a nice bunch of surplus rifles and she told me not to come back to the car without a new treasure....!! I may not understand her but I sure do like when her mood swings my way!


Came with all the usual. Bayonet, cleaning kit, Muzzle protector, Oil can, and Sling. It was missing the buckle and the little brass knob hardware for the sling so I can't attach the sling. If anyone has an extra or knows where I can get a set I'd be very grateful.

Took most of Sunday to clean it up.

The stock could use a little wood oil but other than that it looks great. Bright shiney bore! The bolt's a little stiff on bullet extraction.

Bottom line I've a new addition that I'm very proud of. I'm gonna need a new gun cabinet soon!
