SMLE butt stock |
Lead | |
|
Have an Ishapore 2A I am taking down to bead blast and park the metal. So far so good, except I can't figure out how to remove the butt stock from the
action. Instructions, polite or not, would be most appreciated.

If you go into the hole for the oiler in the buttstock at the bottom there should be a screw head, which is a large slotted screw. Sometimes there is a
leather washer covering it which you will have to remove first. You will need a very long large slotted screwdriver, and some elbow grease.

Thank you, sir. The leather washer is why I could not figure this out. It
has been exposed to water and had swollen such that it looked a bit like rotted wood or a chunk of old cosmo.
