Two latest additions to the 1922 FN Browning collection, along with the "Radoms" posted earlier. Both of these are from the German occupation
production at FN and although are from the military production were diverted to commercial use, sale.
This one, serial 116712, bears only the Nazi firing firing proof on the slide, frame and barrel. Although it does bear a single E/WaA140 on the slide. Note the delta mark on the rear of the frame, which within the collecting community has been noted to appear on 1922's that do not bear E/WaA marks. This one appears to have started in the military acceptance process, but was not final accepted and diverted to commercial, non-military channels.
This one, serial 1362c bears only the Eagle/N commercial firing proof on the slide, frame and barrel and there are no WaA marks evident. It also bears the delta mark on the rear of frame as with the one above. Again a pistol in the military production system and bearing a military serial range number, but diverted to commerial, non-military channels.
