I have just purchased an all matching 1903 Siamese Mauser I would like to shoot. It is in 8X52R. I was told that the Russian 7.62X54R could be used if the
bullet is pulled, case re-sized, trimmed and replaced with a .323 bullet. The original powder can be used at 40 to 43grains. The corrosive primer is not a
problem as the rifle will be cleaned right after shooting. Is this information correct? Thanks for any suggestions.
