What all do I need from him to complete this purchase? I was thinking copy of drivers license or something like that? Thanks in advance for all your help. gunfinder

If so then it would all depemd on your local state laws. In North Carolina all gun exchanges are supposed to be done with a back ground check. Your state laws may be diffrent. After you figure out if you can then do a bill of sale, and write down all his info you can get. I know this sounds a little out there, but for anyone I do not know, I also do and index finger and thumb finger print, I figure even if it is a little extream it better safe than sorry.

If so and you have a C&RFFL all you need is his name and address to log into your bound book. An FFL is not required to ship a firearm, only to receive one. Jim BTW, welcome to the forum!
