This past weekend from a small nearby show, added this to the pocket pistol collection.
Dutch contract, FN Browning 1922 model, serial 16006, matching, 9 m/m short (.380 acp), horn grips, slide with Queen Wilhelmina crest. From what I have read in Vanderlinden's "Belgian Browning Pistols", the serial indicates that this one is among the first procured shortly after circa 1926. The crown/S on the rear of frame is for one of the Dutch State Arsenal inspectors. The Dutch nomenclature for these pistols is, "Pistool M25 No.2". About 60,000 to 63,000 M25 No.2 pistols were delivered before the German occupation of FN.
