Haenel "Schmeisser" Pocket Model, Caliber .25, serial 16155, nickel finish. In the many years that I have collected pocket and vest pocket pistols, this is the first nickel finish Haenel Pocket Model that I have encountered. Then to top it off, it came with the original manufacturers box (in English), manual (in English) and bore cleaning brush. The nickel variation is not readily encountered. Probably, but this is the first I have encountered. A Haenel Model 1 in nickle finish is a rare bird indeed and to have it with the English for export box and manual is almost unheard of. Note the pistol has Germany factory applied as part of the left side slide address. The norm is "C.G. Haenel Suhl Schmeisser's Patent" and if for US import would be marked Germany or Made in Germany. After I received this one, information was sent to me that another nickle finish Model 1, serial 15968 was sold at auction earlier this year. Information furnished did not mention any accessories. I do have another Model 1, import marked, shown below, with accessories indicating US import. Information about it copied from a previous post by me. " Haenel "Schmeisser" Automatic-Pistol, Model 1, .25 caliber, serial 41300, with case, manual and Akah trademark marked holster. Pistol is Crown N proofed, marked "Made in Germany", indicating US import, also the manual is in English." Francis VIS aka Blind Hog "Even a Blind Hog sometimes finds an acorn"
