I will be soon aquring an original pre-occupation Radom Vis "eagle" in almost like new condition. Before I dropped a down payment I asked the store
owner if I could take the pistol apart and look and see if there was a serial # on the barrel lug like it usually is(in most cases) The numbers on the frame
and slide match, but the barrel lug only has what looks like a C, and a 3. the other side of the lug looks ground, but tool marks look like the rest of them.
The pistol has all the correct proofs everywhere else, and no German proofs at all. It is a 1939 date.
I have seen Polish proof marks that look like a C in a square or triangle, and the 3 could be the first # of the serial # since it starts with 3. I am just curious if anyone with the "big book of proofs"(I foirget the real name for it) can look this up for me.
Id appreciate it.
Thanks
