First time posting here, as you can see from my name I'm from Parallax's, and cant' ask this question there.
I'm looking for a Yugo M-48 bolt. I'm having a tough time finding one online. I'd like a forged bolt, or would like a bolt and pay someone to forge it for me. I purchased a barreled receiver from Century, and am planning on putting a .308 barrel on it. I also got a couple of VZ-24's, but figured on saving those for longer cartridges. If anyone could point me in the right direction for the bolt. Also, I've read about having to cut some kind of relief in the barrel of a Yugo. Is there an easy home shop way of doing this, or if possible some other way around it?

I'm sorry but I just had to laugh on that one. I
can't help you find a bolt and can't confirm what Arkyhunter said, but I think you would be more satisfied with putting an aftermarket handle on it
rather than forging. Brownell's makes a nice Talley handle and is long enough to give you plenty of leverage and you can design in bending designs. If you
do decide to forge existing handle, I would still recommend using someone who knows how to get the most out of the length. My first few forgings, and I had the
forging blocks, were terrible. Handles were just too short, as you lose length in the forging of the arc. If I were to do it over, I would cut 2/3 way through
the handle close to the root, and then bend. After bending, fill in the gap with welding. You get a little closer to the root that way and gives you a longer
and nicer handle.
