Picked up these 2 yesterday. They should arrive on Wednesday.
I think (in my opinion) I got a pretty good deal on these 2 shooters. One is blue other on is parked. Selled said he saw no import marks.
According to my information both were made in 1955. I will know more about them once they arrive.

I am sure I will find the little CIA import marks on the frame near the magazine release button. I bought them knowing that they were probably imported. At least no "billboard" on the side of the slide!

I paid less than $800 for both and the seller is paying all the shipping charges. I think that's a pretty good price considering what I see being asked on the auction sites and gun shows around here. I did see a very nice shooter at a gun show near me where the seller was asking $450 and would probably have dropped it slightly to make a sale. At the time I was a "browser" and only looking for 45 ammo and passed on buying it thinking I could always get it next time around. As ususal it was gone by the next gun show. Reminder to self.......never, never pass up a deal
Oh, this makes numbers 9 & 10 for me. I wanted some shooters to rebuild and these should work just fine. I am
anxious to see the one that is still blue to see if it is original finish. I bought it knowing it was probably refinished but may get lucky.

Btw I am still looking for 45 acp ammo, I still have a few boxes left but would like to pick up more to be on the safe side. None available around here & I am looking everywhere and every time I go out to someplace that may have it.

I will try to remember to post better photo's when they arrive and I have had the chance to inspect them.
