mauser offered it as a option on their sporting rifles. i was going to try to build my own but i never could find any pic's of one to use for ideas.
i found a guild rifle on aa that had one but its slightly different from the factory mauser built tang peeps. the mauser built peeps were spring loaded to stay up & would retract into the pistol grip when the bolt was pulled back & come back up when the bolt was closed, the sight could be locked in the down position when not being used. this one does not spring back up after the bolt is closed, its spring loaded to either stay all the way up or all the way down. it's adjustable for windage & elevation by two dovetails in the head of the peep, they are hard to see in the photos.
