Just a question here, looking to see if there is any interest in new made just for us CR shooters ammunition. I work very closely with Hunting Shack Montana,
and am now having loaded some ammo set up special for the M1 Garand in 30-06, of course it can shoot in any 30-06, but the pressure curve will duplicate M2
ball and the older Ball AP etc. It will have both match type bullets in the line, and hunting bullets in the 150-165gr range. We can maybe go up if we work the
curve on the powder...

I will keep my swedes, couple 8mm, and the rest are 30-06, with the exception of the Match M1 built by the USAMU for my Great Uncle when he retired from there,
and the first mauser I ever built that is in 270. I had a rem 700 in 270 but needed a 308 sniper rig for work, so I used the action from mine, and had the
barrel left. I then turned it down for a turk and built it up. Now I am going to convert the 308 back to 30-06 since I am retired, and each of my girls can get
1/2 of the first...

Agreed, Hope I did not come off as upset. I just wanted to let folks know this stuff is not going to be just plinker grade factory ammo, its all loaded to
match quality, its the only ammo I buy for hunting or serious shooting now for the calibers they have it in. I still use surplus for plinking or letting other
folks shoot my M1s etc, but when the shots have to count this the go to stuff if I dont have a handload for the gun.

While not disputing that most factory loads will not shoot as well as yours. I have shot a lot of HSM ammo, I was trained as an LE sniper, and can vouch for
the quality of the ammo. I have shot a lot of groups with their ammo in many configurations that shoot well sub 1/2MOA and when I do my part sub 1/4 minute is
not all that hard to shoot on repeated groups. I know a guy who did multiple tests of their 308 ammo and it outshot the gold standard of LE sniper ammo the Fed
Gold Medal by a good...

Since I handload, I'm not interested and would have to say they will have to rise early in the morning and work late into the night to develop a load to
beat what I already have for my Swedes, ranging from the 94 Carbine to the 96 long barrel. Never seen a factory load that would shoot cloverleafs or ragged
holes. Not bragging of course... just tellin it like it is.

Forgot to add the 303 to the list. They make a 180gr hunting round, at 2300FPS. It runs about 16 a box. I know this is kind of a niche market, but HSM is a
very customer oriented company, and the ammo they produce is match grade stuff. I have shot a lot of their 30-06 bargain 180gr SP and its as tight a shooting
round as match ammo I buy. Like I said, I need suggestions of ammo you would like to see, so I can get a full line from them so we can all use it. I think if
it goes over even in...

The 30-06 prices are keeping in line with Remington's UMC ammo. I run CMP Vintage, Springfield and Garand Matches and think there would be a modest demand.
I handload for my rifles, but I have the time and have been doing it for 30 odd years.

The supply of .303 has dried up except for the occaisonal Pakistani stuff which hangfires. There are a lot of good Enfields out there as well. Hornady has
blessed us (thanks Dave Emery) with ammo for about everything including the 8x56R and 6.5 Carcano's Hunting Shack will of course have to compete price wise
with them.
