Single-horned 'Unicorn' deer found in Italy

ROME - A deer with a single horn in the center of its head - much like the fabled, mythical unicorn - has been spotted in a nature preserve in Italy, park officials said Wednesday.

Sling for Hunting Rifle

Does anyone have any suggestions on a sling for a hunting rifle? I am thinking of something with a camo pattern since my stock is already camo. This is going to be for the ,yet to be finished, 35 Whelen. If you have a sling that you really like ,or dislike , let me know. In the past I just bought what ever was around but this is going to be my main hunting rifle so I want it to be functional, comfortable and durable. NH

My wife and I moved back to south central KY in 2001. We wanted to find some land and after looking for an extended period were frustrated and ended up buying a home in town. Now jump ahead to 2005 and I am now employeed at the local Hospital. A nurse there has about 160 acres that was purchased in 1997. It has grown up for 8 years and become quite gamey!
I was given first option to purchase 57 of the 160 acres. We are happy and consider ourselves very blessed to have this...

Hey folks look at this blue colored 6 point buck I took on Christmas Eve 2007. Have any of you seen anything like this before , I havent. I have done a lot of research on this deer and come up empty in findiong another example to compare it to.
If any of you can give any information on other such color vaiations ( blue ) that have been seen or killed , please post and let me know about it.

My Sister Made me a framed display of family history and with it was a stick Pin that belonged to my grandfather; it is two teeth of the first Red Stag he shot in Germany about a Century ago! He used a mannlicher stocked carbine in 8x57 odd but that is what I hunt with, we kinda look a like too.

Shot this Buck at 85 yards with this chinese SKS useing Priv Partizan 125 grain softpoint round took out both lungs and top of heart, Deer run 15 yards and piled up round was just under hide at shoulder at other side round mushroomed out about the size of a quarter great round for the price.

Wyoming Hunt

Sorry dial uppers as there are a lot of pics.
I left for wyoming on the evening of oct 29 in order to get through Chicago without a lot of traffic. Stopped in Souix Falls the next evening and had a wonderful supper of elk backstrap with baked tater.
After stopping for the night I slept till daylight so I was late enough to stop at cabela's for a bit. They had a Romanian VZ 24 that had the reciever top hit with a grinder for $150 and if it had not been ground I would have gotten...

Funny thing is, I was talking to him on the cell phone when it happened. He was telling me about something exciting that happened at work (interview for promotion), and I heard him shout, "get out of here", then a thump. Young buck was in the median when his lights reflected deer's eyes, but on the highway in a flash.

1st Whitetail Buck

This is my first whitetail buck ever. I hunt pigs and not deer. I went on this hunt with a friend who was after a red hind and I just went along for support. I was going to hunt for 2 does but I was told about the buck the ranch wanted to get rid of. Its a 3 1/2 year old 9 pointer. I took him with my Rugo 7x57 heavy barrel. I hunted him for 2 days until he finally came out the very morning I was heading home. I passed on a few does waiting for him to come out.

Stevens Dove gun

Not too long ago I picked up an old Stevens 20 gauge at my local gun shop to use for dove hunting. I'm wondering if any of you guys can shed some light on it's age (and thus whether it might be C&R eligible).

It says 'Model 345' on the bottom of the receiver and there is a letter (maybe an 'R?') in a circle stamped beside that. There is no number with the letter so I suppose it isn't one of the 1945-1960's ones.

On each side of the receiver it says 'Stevens Arms Company.'...
