			<description><![CDATA[ I have had this M1 for years, it got pushed to the back of the safe over time.
<br>
 It came to me from a USMC Officer who purchased it when he graduated from OCS.
<br>
It came in a sealed plastic bag. I saved some of the tags from the bag and the label from the box.
<br>
 It is glass bedded. Newer barrel. I haven&#39;t got it broken down all the way, but I think it may be all SA.
<br>
 Electropenciled on the receiver is SA over 1-64 (hard to see in the photo&#39;s)

			<description><![CDATA[ Purchased a 30 40 Krag carbine at an auction last weekend. Complete however, like so many, it has been sporterized with a rubber buttpad. Stock has been
cut-down some. Any help with at least a metal buttplate could help. Stock it&#39;s self has nice cartouches and a bit of TLC could make this really

I bought (well, laid away till next payday) a sporterized 1898 Krag.  It&#39;s barrel looks original and I measured it at 22&quot;  Is there any way of
positively knowing whether it is the carbine model besides the barrel length?  It has the original stock on it but it looks like the tip was filed down closer
to the barrel band.

part?  I just want a good shooter for vintage matches,  with some collector value.

Scope Mount is S&amp;K no Drill &amp; tap, so the rifle can be returned to Original in a few minutes  :thumb:

The Handguard had to be altered so I bought this one and saved my original.

The Bolt did not have to be altered, however the scope sets pretty high, I do have a spare bolt to alter so I can lower the scope.
<br>
The scope is a Weaver Marksmans 3-9X32, I know it is a cheapy but it works, I would like to pick up something better.

			<description><![CDATA[ Have always been quite fond of the US rifles but due to the cost of each rifle I focused on something a little more affordable, Swiss Rifles. Antway I finally
pick up a Krag rifle the other day at a local gun show. It&#39;s a model 1898 and was manufactured in 1903, very good bore, solid wood and metal probably
75-80% finish.

			<description><![CDATA[ My dad&#39;s neighbor had 3 Carbines for sale. There was some confusion over one of them having a lever next to the bolt. Under further inspection after taking
the rifle apart the lever was not attatched to anything other than the front pin holding the lever on place. Someone must have wanted it to look like an M2. We
put the rifle back together and left the lever off.  We agreed on a price and I took them home. So here they are.
