I just recieved my first walnut K31, and first for a troop tag! 523276 - If my figures are right, it should have been made about Feb of 1934. The 3266th rifle made!! (or at least what I'd like to imagine!!) The troop tag puzzles me somewhat, maybe someone could help me with it. It shoots alot better than my 1948, with a much nicer trigger pull (from wear I'd think). First I'd like to say that this has got to be the best swiss rifle forum I've found......

I've recently purchased a 1948 birch k31 and have come down with the swiss flu..... I've got a 1934 walnut on the way and was wondering if the aluminum muzzle cap the correct one ??
Or maybe I should ask if the info is posted some where??
